Hi there! My name is Chris Myers. I have been in the mortgage industry for 22 years. My path into mortgage isn't what one might think though. Back in 1989, my career was as a professional wrestler in Dallas which was ended by an injury I obtained in 1992. Sadly, that career had to come to an end but I moved into the radio business as a talk show producer and eventually a talk show host (Sports and pop culture). I was nationally syndicated on the USA Radio Network at the time. Along with the talk show producer and host role, I was also hosting a Sunday Night Talk Show on Professional Wrestling which led me to the Mortgage Business. I know that seems confusing but while I was guest hosting a mortgage hour on local talk radio, the owner and sponsor of the show offered me a role in his company after a few months. It was a brand-new business and career, but I took the big step!

Now, 22 years down the line and I can see how much I have learned and how I have grown in my role as not only a loan officer but as a loan counselor. I feel that I am the luckiest individual in this business because of the choices I've made and the people that I surround myself with. It has been very exciting being with Success Lending and partnering with eXp Realty as it is one of the biggest opportunities I've had in the industry. My work allows me help first time homebuyers purchase their first homes and I get to experience the moment of their dreams with them and see the elation on their faces, but I also get to help people refinance to lower their bills or in some cases help to take cash from their home equity so that they can pay off credit cards, automobiles, and have lower monthly payments. If I can get them what they want and they say even a simple thank you for it, it makes me happy and proves to me that my work and my job is worth it.

Some personal background information about me: I am located in Lewisville, TX. I spend many of my weekends at Car shows or working around the house. I am a PASSIONATE, DIE HARD Star Wars fan and I am an avid collector of movie memorabilia. I have two Dodge Chargers that have been customized to look like a First Order Stormtrooper and a Red SITH Trooper. I show the cars at local car shows in Dallas-Fort Worth and I am most proud to win the people’s choice awards rather than trophies for first or second place. It means that people enjoy my passion as much as I do! I really enjoy being a part of the car community in my city. I also volunteer for organizations in my community as a mobile DJ for charity and special events for such causes for Veterans, Children’s charities, Down Syndrome – most notably, Connor's Foundation, and the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Walk for the Cure.

Cars aren't my only passion though. My wife and I are avid motorcycle riders and in the past year, we both purchased three wheeled Cam-Am Spyders! We love to ride whenever we get the opportunity but during the holidays, we REALLY enjoy doing charity toy runs for the kids! I am also an avid artist and painter. I really enjoy the creativity it allows me. And if you count BBQ and smoking meats an art, I’m a struggling artist, but I’m trying!! My wife says I have an unhealthy love of sports. I call it passion. She calls it obsession, but whatever 😊 I am a big NASCAR and IndyCar race fan, and I am a die-hard fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, The Dallas Cowboys, The Dallas Stars, The Dallas Mavericks, and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

My family is my pride and joy. With my wife Kris, we have had three beautiful and talented kids. My oldest, Emily, graduated from The University of Arkansas with a degree in Audiology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was a section leader and trumpet player in the Arkansas Razorback marching band, and she is now at the University of Texas at Dallas going after her masters and eventual doctorate. My son, Brett, is a Junior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Music Education. He is also in the Razorback Marching Band. This year he earned the title of drumline Captain for the Razorback Marching Band. My youngest daughter Brooke is a Sophomore in High School and plays oboe in High School Band, the cymbals in the drumline, and plays on the Varsity Volleyball team. I am very proud of all of them. Our family also enjoys the company of our three pound puppies (rescues). We have a Great Dane puppy named Kona, a Catahoula named Kahlua, and a Chihuahua named Thor (The Dog of Thunder)!

I am currently licensed in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NM, OH, OK, PA, RI, TN, TX, VA, and WA and if I can use my experience and knowledge to help you reach your goals of refinancing your current home or purchasing a new home, please reach out. It would be my honor to help you!
